Welcome from the organising committee

Hello, this is Richard Stephens. Together with Kristy Beers Fägersten and Olly Robertson, it is my pleasure to be organising this swearing research symposium at Keele University, 19-20 June 2023. The meeting is to be the first joint CRAP (Consortium for Research About Profanity)/SwiSca (Swearing in Scandinavia) research symposium, bringing together multidisciplinary researchers interested in understanding swearing from the UK, Scandinavia and beyond.

This free to attend meeting will be hybrid: in-person and online. The closing date to submit an abstract is 28 Feb 2023, and the final programme will be published 28 Mar 2023.
